Get ready to hear jazz — redefined. The L.A. Martini Kings are set to perform a style of music for Santa Monican ears termed “cool jazz” — a form that emerged in the early 1950s. Comprised of brothers Anthony and Frank Marisco, the duo has been featured on television and the silver screen.
“After all these years hoofing around, playing in this sort of retro-cool Manciniesque bag, it seems the public has finally caught on to what we do. And really, what we do is what we’ve always done,” Frank Marisco said.
The L.A. Martini Kings will play for Santa Monica on Monday, June 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Third Street Promenade. Fashion show raises money for cancer research
