Clean up the beach and then reap some rewards yourself. On Sunday, Aug. 27, there will be a beach clean-up day followed by a rocking thank-you concert by Jurassic 5 and Jonny Lang. Help “Re-Boot & Rock the Beach” starting at 10 a.m. with the beach clean-up on Venice Beach, followed by the concert at 12:30 p.m. at the Windward Plaza at Venice Beach.

“Re-Boot & Rock the Beach” will be hosted by Heal The Bay and Arrowhead Brand Mountain Spring Water. Heal The Bay, founded in 1985, is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy and clean.

This event is free to the public, and the first 500 volunteers on the beach will win prizes. There is no need to pre-register, just show up and pitch in. It’s a natural way for locals to do a little good for the beach and themselves.

“Arrowhead Re-Boot Stations” will be springing up all over Southern California over the next couple of months. To find out when one will pop up near you or to find out more information on “Re-Boot & Rock the Beach,” visit www.rebootnaturally.com. Children showcase summer art
