Would it be so hard to put temporary stop signs up at 16th Street and Ocean Park Boulevard and see how it goes? (“Watch your step,” Feb. 1, page 1) I know the Transportation Management people have been looking at that intersection for a long time and will eventually come up with a proposed solution, but we need to make things safer right now.
Temporary stop signs could be put up this afternoon at little cost, and who knows, they might solve the problem entirely. Let’s give it a try.
