A group of four-legged survivors of Hurricane Katrina are looking for new homes in Santa Monica.

The Santa Monica Police Department’s Animal Control Division is offering for adoption five homeless dogs that were rescued from the area devastated by Hurricane Katrina. The dogs were among many that were recently transported from Louisiana by a team of veterinarians led by Paula Kislak, DVM. Among the five dogs are a shepherd mix, chow mix, labrador/pointer, rottweiler and labrador mix.

For information on adopting one of the dogs, or any other animal, call the Santa Monica Animal Shelter at (310) 450-6179. St. Joe’s receives ‘Whole’-hearted donation
