Let me see if I got this right... according to a July 28- 29 SMDP article (“SMPD says keep an eye out”), Jack J. McClellan, a nationally-known and self-admitted (pedophile) who runs a Web site designed to tell (pedophiles) where the best places are to see children... was spotted by an aware mom at the Main Library. OK, to the City Council, who cares about my smoking a cigarette on the promenade and my Styrofoam coffee cup... Why are there no cameras in the common areas of our libraries, especially in the children’s area? I’ve been told by an employee at the library that only adults accompanying children are allowed in the children’s area, so how did a nationally-known pedophile get to wander in?
Let’s get with the program. Stop freaking on my Marlboros and neighbors’ hedges. We can not, and must not, wait until one of these evil animals snatches a child.
