Kids and adolescents can take their shots for free

Published:

By Daily Press staff

The Westside Family Health Center is looking out for children. The center will offer free immunizations and tuberculosis tests for children and teenagers under the age of 18. In order to attend school or child care, all children must be in compliance with California state immunization laws which require up-to-date shot records.

Children and teenagers will be immunized against the most common diseases affecting schoolchildren, including hepatitis B, measles, rubella, hemophilus influenza, mumps, polio, diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough. Parents are strongly encouraged to act in their child’s best interest and take advantage of the free service offered by Westside Family Health Center. Immunizations will be given on July 9 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Westside Family Health Center, located at 1711 Ocean Park Blvd. in Santa Monica.
