To kick of this year’s snow season, ZJ Boarding House and Bonfire present the only Southern California premiere of the new snowboard film by Robot Food, “Afterlame.”

Robot Food is a coalition of creatives, cameramen and riders that have worked together for three years to produce snowboarding’s most anticipated titles.

The premiere is Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Laemmle Theater, located at 1332 Second St. in Santa Monica. Tickets are $5 and are on sale at ZJ Boarding House, 2619 Main St., Santa Monica. They also can be bought the night of the event at the Laemmle Theater.

For every ticket sold, $2 will be donated to “Boarding for Breast Cancer,” a nonprofit, youth-focused organization promoting breast cancer awareness, research and education. Ticket holders will receive one free raffle ticket for a drawing at the premiere. Additional raffle tickets will be sold at the event for $1 with 100 percent of proceeds going to Boarding for Breast Cancer. Raffle prizes will include snow-boards, boots, bindings and more.

An event after-party will be at Rusty’s Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier immediately following the movie. Admission to the party will be free with a ticket stub and $5 without. There will be live music from LA surf rock band The Migs (themigs.com) and local indie rock band The Pop Kids (myspace.com/thepopkids).
