During these busy times, many people are finding it difficult to find time to take care of themselves, let alone someone else. But it doesn’t have to be one or the other.
The Westside Caregivers’conference: “Caring For Yourself As You Care for Your Loved Ones,” is a free event dedicated to teaching people how to give care to older people. The event will be held on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Emeritus College, 1227, Second St.
Co-sponsored by Santa Monica’s Older Adult Task Force, in collaboration with numerous community organizations, including UCLA Healthcare, Jackson Federal Bank and Sunrise Assisted Living, the event will feature a resource fair, assistive-technology exhibits, seminars on caregiving topics and professional consultations.
