International spiritual author and speaker Fr. Edward L. Beck will lead the annual St. Monica Catholic Church Mission, to be held at the church. The service is open to all, and particularly welcomes those who have been away from the church.
Beck, a member of the Passionist Community, is the author of, among others, “Unlikely Ways Home: Real Life Spiritual Detours (2004).” The book relates the first-person spiritual journeys of people as diverse as a topless dancer, firefighter who died in the World Trade Center, gay couple, family of eight, rabbi’s daughter and jailed felon.
The Lenten mission will be held Monday through Wednesday, Feb. 26-28 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. each evening. No registration is required for the Mission. There is no fee, but offerings are welcome. Refreshments will be served. Immigration movement gains steam
