That funky fashion plate of a rock star, Lenny Kravitz, will take center stage for one night, Jan. 17, at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Known for such hits as “Let Love Rule,” “Fly Away” and “Are You Gonna Go My Way?” Kravitz has been a part of the rock ‘n’ roll lexicon since “The Cosby Show” reigned supreme. The former Romeo Blue, and the former husband of “Cosby” star Lisa Bonet, Kravitz typically delivers an electrically charged show that doesn’t disappoint, showing a flair for a number of musical instruments, but mostly the ax.

Tickets are $35 and are general admission, but must be purchased through Ticketmaster. No advance tickets are available at the Civic Auditorium. Doors open at 8 p.m.
