What is the best way to protect America? They hate us for our freedom. They have WMD’s. We must seek out the terrorists or they will attack us again. I don’t like terrorists and think it is a good idea to attack them around the globe.
What ever your opinion is about the war, one fact is true. It is very, very expensive. The real question is whether or not this the best way to defend America from terrorists? What if we spent $1 trillion with American businesses on American jobs to make fences, guarded borders, create better anti-missile defense, better secure legal entry into this country, better law enforcement support and other pro-active long term approaches. Its like building a door for your house before you go out looking for bad guys. Remember the bad guys came through Canada.
So how do we leave with honor? Why is this a question? Why do we care? I personally do not care if Iraq, Afghanistan or any other country wants to have a civil war. I just don’t want to spend $1 trillion on them. I just don’t like the Iraqis that much.
I am told it could take two years or more to leave Iraq? For nine days in 1940 at Dunkirk, 331,226 Allied troops evacuated France and escaped the Germans. That’s right, nine days and they had twice as many troops and had to cross water. The British left Basra and went to Kuwait with all of their equipment in a few months.
So can we. Israel has been fighting with these people since 1948 and the fight continues to this day. I do not wish to suffer the same fate as the Israelis and fight a war for the next 60 years. Lets learn from the Israelis. Let’s get our soldiers home and put America first again.
