Bravo to the parents from McKinley School for speaking up (“Parents to Step Up: Step off,” Oct. 18). The Mid-City has been dumped on for many years with various undesirable projects; Daniel’s Village is just another callous, insensitive example by (city officials) to slip something by a neighborhood with no representation at City Hall.
The logical place for an undesirable project is the dumping ground of Mid-City, where there will be no resistance! Keep up the good work, parents of McKinley.
In the meantime, read the Oct. 17 column in the Daily Press (“Cartographers shrugged: Mid-City full of maybes”) about the NuWilshire Theatre and the general apathy that exists in the Mid-City. Editor (Michael Tittinger) wrote an excellent piece.
