A consultant that is currently weighing various scenarios for new water rates in the city could get an extra $18,750 if a contract extension is approved by the council.
Raftelis Financial Consultants was hired in November 2006 to perform a wastewater study and while the firm has come up with several rate scenarios, it is requesting additional funding to complete the required analysis.
If approved, the firm’s new contract will reach a total of $104,300.
