Even theater can be a time to reminisce. The Santa Monica Oceanaires Barbershop Chorus, a non-profit group founded in 1976 and an official chapter of The Harmony Society, will present their annual show, “College Daze,” which recalls the days of college when the Oceanaires get together for a reunion.
“The Oceanaires’ shows are always meant to be fun for the entire family,” said chorus president Marty Mitnick.
“The Stage Hogs,” an award-winning barbershop quartet with their own unique brand of comedy, will be the featured guest performers. The Oceanaires men’s chorus will perform old and new favorites, including “Goodnight Sweetheart,” “California, Here I Come,” “Slow Boat to China” and “Aura Lee.”
The show will commence on Saturday, May 28, at the Westwood United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall, 10497 Wilshire Blvd. Free parking is available. Show times are 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $10 for seniors and children. Mail checks to: The Santa Monica Oceanaires, 2821 Anchor Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90064-4605.
