New homeless information system

Published:

In line with its recently-approved action plan to address homeless in the city, staff will be asking the council to allow the purchase of a new Homeless Information Management System software for approximately $120,770.

If approved, the software license will be purchased from Bowman Systems, which will offer data hosting for one year with two additional one-year options of up to $44,760 each.

Seven homeless agencies that receive funding through the Community Development grants program currently use the existing HMIS program, according to staff.

The new software will enable these agencies to conduct unduplicated counts of individuals that receive their services and allow them to interact with other local and regional data systems.
