Posie Carpenter has returned to UCLA Healthcare as director of nursing at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.
A Westchester resident, Carpenter held several managerial and staff positions at UCLAMedical Center in Westwood from 1989 to 1998.
She joins Santa Monica-UCLA from the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in Van Nuys, where she was director of surgical services. Previously, she was executive director of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
Carpenter holds dual master’s degrees in nursing and public health from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University.
