It’s time to show the president the door and cut the funding for his war. The question arises: Why do Democrats keep playing into the hands of Bush and the Republican war machine and continue funding a war 8,000 miles away? Congressional Democrats control the purse strings.
If left up to the will of the American people, the war would be winding down — 60 percent to 70 percent want out of Iraq and want our soldiers home in a timely fashion. If left up to Republicans, the war will continue on indefinitely — war plays well to the GOP conservative and religious faithful.
