Regarding that new many-storied parking structure with the funny colored lights along Fourth Street, by the freeway, next to the new police station: It used to let us know, via light-emitting-diode, like the other Fourth Street lots further downtown, the number of spaces that remained available — “700... 679... etc.”
Now, no numbers emit from any diodes. Zip. Nada. Not a digit is stirring. I was wondering if that’s because nobody is parking in this new lot, and the parking folk are just too embarrassed to let us know that.
