It will be a pet and Christmas lover’s dream today. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, pets can get on Santa’s Lap, get their photo taken with the old guy, paw over some of the gifts and leave a donation for the SPCA LA, at Santa Monica Place.
Since its inception in 1996, Pet Night at Santa Monica Place has grown to attract more than 700 animals of all types to the event — dogs, cats, birds, snakes, lizards and even mice.
The event is for owners and shoppers. Any and all pets are welcome. They not only get to sit in the big chair on Santa’s lap, but also get a photo with the big guy, all while making a donation to the SPCA. Packages range from $10.99 to $21.99. Pet costumes are encouraged.
The rendezvous with Santa will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Santa Monica Place is located two blocks from the beach in downtown Santa Monica, between Second and Third streets, on Broadway. Free parking is available. For information call (310) 394-5451.
