Kick off the fall season by donning a Halloween costume and raising money for a local preschool.

The Children's Place Preschool will hold its first fall festival on Friday, Oct. 24. Prizes, a Halloween parade and more will be featured at the Children’s Place, also known as the Ocean Park Child Care Foundation, a private nonprofit child development center which serves the children and families most in need in the Santa Monica community.

The Children’s Place is funded by a grant received from the California State Department of Education. The program’s survival is contingent upon fundraising and volunteerism to subsidize state funding. The fall festival will help the effort by acting as a fundraiser for the preschool to help complete an outdoor classroom project as well as purchase supplies.

The festival will commence at 4 p.m. and will end at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The preschool is located at 235 Hill St. For more information, call (310) 399-6405.
