Brandon Wise After speaking at the City Council on Tuesday night the Santa Monica Treesavers held an all-night protest on the steps of City Hall. The plan was to sleep at City Hall until 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. The protest was in response to the removal of 23 ficus trees last Friday on Second and Fourth streets as part of a streetscape improvement project.
