I just learned of the death of Bob Gabriel, owner of Santa Monica’s Bob Gabriel Co. Insurance Agency, whose advertisement appeared regularly in the Santa Monica Daily Press. He passed away on Dec. 13, 2007 at the age of 84. He will be sorely missed, I think, in the community due to his outstanding good works and general goodness as a human being. I had business dealings with him for more than 25 years, and he was always most kind to me. I was deeply saddened to learn the news, and I want to extend my sympathies to his staff as well as to his family, who will carry on despite their great loss.
