LOS ANGELES The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved a $10,000 reward for information leading to a conviction in the murder of Santa Monica resident Clifton Hibbert Jr., who was shot and killed in March.

The award was one of three approved by supervisors earlier this week.

The supervisors extended a reward offered in the fatal shootings of Hibbert, 22, and Kenneth Patterson Jr., 23, of Los Angeles. Hibbert and Patterson were in the 4300 block of South Figueroa Street when they were killed March 29. The Los Angeles City Council put up $75,000 in reward money.

Anyone with information leading to the killer or killers was asked to call detectives at the Southwest Station at (213) 485-6571 during normal office hours, or (877) LAW- FULL on nights and weekends.

The supervisors also reestablished a reward in the fatal attack on Marcial Sanchez in 2007. Sanchez, 52, was set afire Oct. 7 in the 3500 block of Cesar Chavez Avenue about 6 p.m.

Despite several people witnessing the attack, police have been unable to get anyone to cooperate with them, On a suggestion from Supervisor Michael Antonovich, the board also offered a reward for information leading to whoever fatally shot Hsiao Hong Hsu on March 19 while she was talking to a 911 operator about a break-in at her West Covina home.

Four suspects have been arrested, but a fifth is at large, officials said.

Anyone with more information in killings of Sanchez or Hsu was asked to call sheriff’s detectives at (323) 890-5500.
