The Roosevelt Elementary School Booster Club and PTA will host the 10th annual Roosevelt Holiday Marketplace on Saturday, Dec. 6. Marketplace will feature holiday shopping and foods from around the world, as well as entertainment, rides and crafts for children.

Each year, the Roosevelt campus hosts the market to raise funds for arts education for the 800 children who attend Roosevelt School. This year, more than 200 parent and teacher volunteers have helped to organize more than 70 holiday gift booths, rides, activities from rock climbing to hair wraps, and choral holiday performances. They also have brought back some of the most popular gifts from last year, such as leather fashion apparel, hand-crafted furniture and African art.

The world cuisine will be sponsored by Roosevelt’s Hispanic, Scandinavian, Asian, Persian, Italian, Indian and African-American families.

The market runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Roosevelt Elementary School is located at 801 Montana Ave., at the corner of Lincoln Boulevard.
