The Rotary Club of Santa Monica is accepting applications for its Community Grants program from nonprofit organizations serving Santa Monica. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.
Grants range from $500 to $3,500. Funds may be requested for sustainable projects such as new construction or renovation materials, equipment and furnishings, and program expenses, including consultant fees and materials.
Funds are not available for operating expenses, salaries, giving or endowment campaigns, fundraising or other events, sectarian religious projects, political activities, or foundations that fund other nonprofits.
Nonprofit organizations may apply annually, with limitations noted in the grant guidelines and application. Instructions and applications are available on the Rotary Club of Santa Monica's website at www.rotaryclubofsantamonica.org/grants. Organizations must provide proof of nonprofit 501(c)(3) status and requested supporting materials, and must be able to verify that the funds benefit Santa Monica residents or the community and align with Rotary's service mission.
