Since moving to Santa Monica from New York years ago, I have longed for a good neighborhood pizza joint. With the recent opening of Joe’s Bleeker Street Pizza and now Richie Palmer’s Pizzeria (of Beverly Hills’ Mulberry Street Pizzeria) just a block apart in downtown Santa Monica, we now have the mother lode of walk-up gourmet, thin-crust New York style pizza. A joyous salute to the simple pleasures in life.
