SANTA MONICA Dodgers team up with local library

Published:

The Los Angeles Dodgers are partnering with local libraries to encourage kids to read “just for fun” as part of Los Angeles Libraries’ annual Summer Reading Program. Children who complete the program requirements (that vary by library but generally include fulfilling 10 hours of reading or being read to) can earn free tickets to the Dodgers game on Aug. 5 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. “The perfect way to advocate summer reading is to offer a fun incentive such as a ticket to a Dodger fame which will hopefully build a year long interest in reading,” said Dodger Senior Vice President of Public Affairs Howard Sunkin.

For more information on specific reading program guidelines call (323) 224-1435 or visit your participating local public library.
