Santa Monica Don’t forget absentee voters

In response to David Alsabery’s ridiculous comment that “8 percent of the Republicans in California are so stupid that they voted for two people (Giuliani and Thompson) that dropped out of the race,” I think David needs to pay closer attention to current events before labeling people as “DUMB.”

David, did you know that Jan. 7, 2008, was the first day that people could vote by mail, weeks before either of those candidates dropped out of the race (Thompson on Jan. 22, Giuliani on Jan. 31)? According to the Los Angeles Times, “analysts believe at least half of California’s voters will have opted to vote by mail.” So consider that it may be a case of people voting too early, not a case of “stupidity” as you so eloquently put it. Before calling out people as stupid or uninformed, you may want to check your facts. Talk about embarrassing.
