The American Red Cross of Santa Monica, KABC Channel 7 and Southland Firefighters are teaming up today for the “Spark of Love Toy Drive,” accepting toys and sports equipment from donations dropped off by residents within a five-county area.
Toys, games and sporting goods for teen boys and girls between 13 and 18 years of age are especially needed.
The American Red Cross Chapter of Santa Monica is located at 1450 11th St., and those interested can contact Cory Russell at (310) 394-3773 during business hours (www.redcrossofsantamonica.org). Donations may also be dropped off at the local fire stations at 1444 Seventh St., 222 Hollister Ave., 1302 19th St. and 2450 Ashland Ave., as well as any CVS pharmacy in the area.
