As a long-time resident of Santa Monica, I’m amused at Councilman Bobby Shriver’s shock that he wasn’t endorsed by the Santa Monica Democratic Club for this coming election. With uncle Teddy’s support in the last election and Bobby’s well established liberal credentials, you would think that would be enough, but not in this town if you are not a SMRR supporter. The Santa Monica Democratic Club should call a spade a spade and rename themselves the Socialist Club, because as long as SMRR keeps its strangle hold on this town, more of the same (including all of the overdevelopment) will continue.
