Shot for tots offered again

Saint John’s Health Center and the Santa Monica Rotary Club is offering free immunizations and TB skin tests to all infants, adolescents and teen-agers under 18 years old.

On Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon, children and teen-agers can come to the hospital’s cafeteria located at Arizona Avenue and 22nd Street for free shots.

California law requires that all children must have up-to-date shot records to attend school or child care centers. The immunizations will protect against diphtheria, hepatitis B, measles, rubella, hemopphilus, influenza, mumps, polio, tetanus and whooping cough — diseases known to infect small children, as well as teen-agers.

Since its inception 10 years ago, Shots For Tots & Teens has immunized more than 2,000 children for free.

Free valet parking is available in front of the hospital off of Santa Monica Boulevard.
