Santa Monica High School will run the classic film “The Sound of Music” complete with subtitles so everyone can sing along tonight.
The event is a fundraiser for the Samohi symphony orchestras, which will be touring Salzburg, Vienna in March of 2008. A small chamber group will perform prior to the running of the movie and an emcee will describe how to participate in various parts (think: “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”). Guests will receive a bag of props to use with the movie.
The show starts at 7 p.m. at Barnum Hall on the SAMOHI campus. Tickets are $10 for students and $20 for adults and can be purchased at www.samohiorchestras.com or www.brownpapertickets.com.
