The Broadway hit “Laughter on the 23rd Floor” is Neil Simon’s homage to his early days as a freshman television writer for Sid Caesar’s “Your Show of Shows,” when he was stuck in a room with a bunch of the looniest comedy writers ever — Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner, among others. The jokes and comic situations never end, and the bonus is Simon’s insight into the comic process, and the insecurity and heartbreak that drive the people who make us laugh.
Tickets can be purchased by calling the box office at (310) 828-7519. The theater is located at 2627 Pico Blvd.
