The Santa Monica College Chamber Choir will hold a benefit concert, "From Longing to Belonging: Finding Each Other," Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at The Edye at the SMC Performing Arts Center, 1310 11th St. at Santa Monica Boulevard.
The concert will support the activities of the Chamber Choir and the SMC Concert Chorale. SMC music instructor Jeremiah Selvey Convento will conduct.
The program offers music that considers what it means to seek connection in a world increasingly marked by distance, division and uncertainty. Convento said it "invites us to look beyond the boundaries that separate us and imagine how, even now, we might find our way toward one another."
Tickets are a suggested donation of $20 plus a modest service charge. Advance tickets are available at smc.edu/tickets or by calling 310-434-3005 (Monday-Friday; limited hours).
