Santa Monica College will hold three fundraising Glass Pumpkin Sales this fall, offering handcrafted glass pumpkins in a variety of colors, styles and sizes.
The first sale will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, in conjunction with the Farmers Market & Mini Fall Festival at Virginia Avenue Park, 2200 Virginia Ave. (corner of Pico and Cloverfield), Santa Monica. Proceeds will benefit the SMC Art Department and the Santa Monica Public Library.
The second sale will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in conjunction with the SMC College Fair in the SMC Quad on the SMC Main Campus, 1900 Pico Blvd., Santa Monica. Proceeds will benefit the SMC Art Department.
The third sale will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in partnership with the Lowe Family YMCA (formerly Palisades-Malibu YMCA) at Simon Meadow at Temescal Gateway Park, 15601 Sunset Blvd. (corner of Temescal and Sunset), Pacific Palisades. Proceeds will benefit the SMC Art Department, the Lowe Family YMCA and local artists.
Each pumpkin is a unique work of art suited to fall décor or gifts for holidays, anniversaries and birthdays, organizers said.
The Lowe Family YMCA, established as the community-focused nonprofit Palisades-Malibu YMCA to offer recreational programs and family activities, is rebuilding after being destroyed in the Palisades Fire.
