SMDP letters are ‘voice of the people’

Published:

By Anna April-Ross Santa Monica

Let me see if I understand this correctly. According to Cecilia Rosenthal (“Reader wrong to down Lowe,” letters, Dec. 7), we get to learn of the “shenanigans” going on in Washington because of the rantings of Ron Lowe? The only thing I see is a very angry man who seems to look for things to be offended by on a daily basis. We hardly need for him to be given his own column, as his letters are posted on a weekly basis. I, for one, am surprised and happy to see that SMDP actually posted a letter in opposition to the prevailing opinion.

Ms. Rosenthal, if you truly want the paper to remain a “voice of the people,” you should be glad that they posted Mr. Cooper’s letter. I’m sure you don’t want your own opinions regurgitated back to you every day, do you? Hearing the other side occasionally might prove salutary and yield a host of fresh insights.
