Maybe, just maybe, not everything Iron Maiden does is legendary. Sure, the band’s metal is heavy; sure, the band can fill grotesquely large arenas decades after releasing solid albums; and sure, the band has set the stage for generations of dour rock bands with penchants for free-flowing locks and black attire. These are all proper testaments to the lasting power of Iron Maiden’s angst-ridden power rock. Call that legendary, but not the release of a DVD, somehow aptly entitled “Live After Death” on Feb. 5. Also, go see them at The Forum on Feb. 19 as part of their “Somewhere Back in Time” world tour, because legends never die, right? The show is at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $37 to $67.
