Even beyond the total regressive nature of “parcel taxes” (my one-bedroom condominium is a “parcel” and a 40-acre spread in Malibu is a “parcel,” both charged the same amount). Why are Santa Monicans willing to keep subsidizing Malibu’s schools?
There should be a moratorium on school funding until this issue is addressed.
