A suspect faces 11 counts of felony vandalism after police linked the same person to a string of incidents in downtown Santa Monica. One of the incidents left a glass door shattered at a restaurant on Third Street.

When a Santa Monica Police Department officer arrived at the restaurant, its alarm was still sounding. A few days later, officers spotted and recognized the suspect and made an arrest.

The investigation linked the suspect to 10 other vandalism incidents downtown, and the District Attorney’s Office filed the charges.

Reported damage across the 11 incidents totaled more than $30,000.
