Want a little extra help fighting the flu this season? Community residents who want to protect themselves from this year’s flu virus are encouraged to get vaccinated at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center’s annual community flu-shot clinic on Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the Santa Monica Place Mall.

The medical center will be offering flu shots for $13 to anyone 18 or older who is not allergic to eggs or ill from a cold or flu. Members of the UCLA Healthcare 50-plus program will receive the shots at no cost. The vaccinations will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis on the first level of the mall, which is located at Broadway and Fourth Street in Santa Monica. Reservations are not accepted.
