I have been reading the letters to the editor for years and finally the letter from Barry Barker (“What we’re really voting for,” page 4, Sept. 3) was brilliant!
Finally! Someone in Santa Monica who is not [a] Democrat, who isn’t blaming Bush for every wrong that has happened in the world. Yes, I am talking to you Ron Lowe and you, Jack Neworth. Get a life. [Finally,] someone who can see that Obama who says he is for “change” but doesn’t say what that change will be and isn’t fooled by all the slick talk. Thank you Barry Barker for writing in your thoughts. Let this be an encouragement to other Republicans to write in and give your views.
I am so tired of hearing the constant “whining” of the Democrats, Democrats who are so proud that the World Trade Center was bombed when Clinton was in office and he did nothing but maybe talk to some people and then we were hit again. Oops.
Don’t ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country. Tip: Being a complainer isn’t it.
