Having the perfect home might be nothing more than a dream, but admiring it from the inside can be a reality.
The American Institute of Architects/Los Angeles (AIA/LA) has announced its annual summer home tour schedule, featuring contemporary homes by Los Angeles’ leading architects and designers.
The self-guided home tours provide a rare opportunity to see inside beautiful, cutting-edge residences designed by esteemed architects, according to AIA. Participants receive a ticket, map, driving directions and information about each home on the tour. Architects, designers and docents will be available on site to answer questions. The tour features the following architects: Michael Folonis (AIA); David Hertz (AIA); Koning Eizenberg, and Vaughan Trammel (AIA). Many of the homes have been featured in top publications such as Dwell, the Los Angeles Times Magazine and Architecture Digest.
The tours will begin on Sunday, May 15, in Venice. The next tour will take place on Sunday, June 5, in the Pacific Palisades. The tour will end on Sunday, June 26, in Santa Monica. All homes are open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. — the last entry is at 3:45 p.m.
Tickets are priced as follows: $65 per person per tour; $100 per person for a package of two tours; $130 per person for a package of three tours.
