These pipes are made for playing

Published:

The magnificent Royce Hall grand pipe organ accompanies one of the great silent film comedies of all time in one of UCLA Live’s most popular family events. Full of white-knuckle stunts and brilliant visual gags, Harold Lloyd’s “Safety Last” cemented the actor/director’s status as a major figure in early motion pictures. The story of an average country boy trying to make good in the big city, the film includes one of the most famous images from the silent film era: Lloyd clutching the bending hands of a clock as he dangles from the outside of a skyscraper above moving traffic.

The event takes place Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at Royce Hall on the campus of UCLA. For information visit www.uclalive.org.
