Editor: The proposed location of the new Ocean Park Community Center on the northeast corner of Cloverfield and Michigan stands at the gateway to the entrance of the Bergamot Station Arts Center. I wonder what the reaction to having the shelter for the homeless at that location will be from the many gallery owners located there. I can’t help but imagine that there will be a whole new host of “regular” attendees at the many art openings and receptions held there.
It is just a short walk down Michigan from the proposed site of the new homeless center to the arts center. It would be interesting to hear the reaction, if any, of the museum and gallery owners about the proximity of the proposed new OPCC building.
